In the Czech Republic, the National Institute of Public Health (SZÚ) noted that all three viral strains in the trivalent vaccine have changed from the previous year, including two Type A variants and one Type B variant.

While the Czech Vaccinology Society warned of potential manufacturing delays due to composition changes and difficulties identifying the candidate B virus strain, vaccines have become available in pharmacies in regions such as Romania. In Romania, options include nasal sprays for children aged 2 to 18, injectable versions for those aged 6 months and older, and high-dose formulas for the elderly. Medical professionals have reported the emergence of the first positive flu cases coinciding with the start of the school year and fluctuating temperatures.

To ensure an immune response before the peak flu season, medical professionals recommend immunization during October and November. Vaccination can be administered through authorized pharmacies or family doctors. Compensation models vary by demographic: children and adolescents up to 18 (or under 19), pregnant women, medical staff, individuals over 65, and those between 19 and 65 with chronic illnesses are eligible for 100% compensation. For individuals between 45 and 65 without chronic illnesses, the compensation rate is 50%.
