52nd KNE Festival organization and tour
The 52nd KNE Festival, titled ‘Odigiti’, is being organized by the youth organization of the KKE. The event uses a slogan inspired by Bertolt Brecht: ‘General, man has one flaw: He knows how to think!… With the KKE leading the way toward Socialism’. The festival aims to engage young people in discussions concerning the capitalist system, economic inequality, global tensions, and the exploitation of the working class. Preparations for the festival include activities in Trikala and Volos. In Volos, the event is scheduled for September 11 and 12 at Rigai Feraiou Park. The program features political gatherings, including a central meeting with Makis Papadopoulos of the KKE Central Committee, alongside concerts, thematic stations, and a bookstore. The festival is touring Greece, with additional scheduled events in Larissa on September 11 and 12 at Koiti Peneiou. The Larissa program includes musical theater, discussions on Cuba, an exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Democratic Army of Greece (DSE), children’s activities, and athletic demonstrations. The Volos agenda also includes discussions on solidarity with Cuba and folk music performances. The national tour is scheduled to culminate in a four-day central event in Athens at An. Tritsis Park from September 23 to 26, featuring a major political rally with speeches by KKE General Secretary Dimitris Koutsoumpas.
