The 61st Golden Bell Awards ceremonies were held at the Taipei Music Center. The program category ceremony, which followed a delay caused by Typhoon Rose, honored various winners including Shen Yu-lin and Melody Yin for the Variety Program Host Award, and Lin Teng-yi, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Subsequently, the drama category ceremony was held on the evening of October 26. This ceremony faced rescheduling due to Typhoon Prapiroon, which also necessitated moving the red carpet festivities indoors at the Taipei Music Center to ensure safety. The weather conditions prevented some international guests, such as Japanese actor Kobayashi Kaoru, from attending the events in Taiwan. In the mini-series category, Ruby Lin won Best Actress for ‘Sea of Intimacy’, noting her surprise and reflecting on a decade of professional challenges. Chang Kai-hsun secured Best Actor in a Mini-Series for ‘Urban Foundation’, stating he would donate his prize money and sharing an emotional moment regarding a handmade bracelet from his daughter. In the supporting categories, Chang Shih-ying won Best Supporting Actress in a Mini-Series for ‘Road to Success’, dedicating her award to mothers. The ceremony also featured a dance medley performance by a group of five popular actresses, including P hypo. Other highlights included red carpet appearances and discussions regarding the current contraction of the industry. During the awards, a memorial segment served as the public announcement of the passing of veteran director and screenwriter Ding Ya-min, who died in late 2025. His family had previously opted for a low-profile service. Additionally, actress Hsieh Chien-huan was honored for a supporting role, while actor Hung To-la expressed regret at being unable to attend due to filming commitments.
