The 95th İzmir International Fair (İEF) continues at Kültürpark, running from September 5 to September 13, 2026. The event aims to reach a milestone of 1 million visitors through a wide array of cultural, artistic, and entertainment activities. In addition to the fair’s programming, the city is preparing to celebrate the 104th anniversary of İzmir’s liberation on September 9. The official anniversary program includes a victory march through Basmane, ceremonies at the Government House, and an aerial demonstration by the Turkish Air Force’s aerobatic team, SOLOTÜRK, at Gündoğdu Square. Fair highlights include the ‘You Are the Conductor’ interactive orchestra experience and major musical performances such as Yıldız Tilbe’s concert. For families, the event has introduced dedicated children's zones featuring virtual reality dinosaur experiences, themed play areas, and various workshops. As the fair progresses, the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality has introduced ‘Belediye Sokağı’ (Municipality Street) to showcase public services. This area features health service stands from Eşrefpaşa Hospital and the Department of Health Affairs, where visitors can receive information and undergo health measurements like blood pressure and weight checks. The Department of Veterinary Services is also providing pet food gifts. The municipality is further highlighting services for women, children, and youth. At an experience area, children are demonstrating robotic coding skills by allowing visitors to play a version of Super Mario they programmed using circuits and conductive plates. Additionally, the Department of Women and Family Services is conducting surveys to assess regional needs. Other ongoing features include the ‘ROMANTİKA / Bir Ömrün Seyrüseferi’ exhibition at the Atlas Pavilion, dedicated to Nazım Hikmet, which is scheduled to run through January 15, 2027. To accommodate visitors, ESHOT has adjusted public transportation, with several bus lines extending service hours past 02:00.
