In early July 2026, former WWE World Champion Damian Priest made his first appearance on Mexico’s AAA television broadcast, introduced by AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio. During a Spanish-language promo, Priest declared his intent to dominate the promotion and pursue championships while still holding the WWE Tag Team championship with R-Truth on SmackDown. By late July, AAA’s storyline served as a narrative bridge for another talent exchange. Lola Vice lost the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship at Verano de Escándalo while teaming with Mr. Iguana. Following this loss, Vice announced her departure from the Mexican promotion, expressing appreciation for how the experience helped her develop skills outside of WWE and NXT environments. She specifically credited the Mexican wrestling community and Mr. Iguana for helping her manage professional anxiety.
