Reports regarding the fatal accident indicate that a Cessna 402B aircraft crashed in the Bahamas shortly after departing from Marsh Harbour Airport while the singer and her team were traveling to Florida following the filming of the ‘Rock the Boat’ music video. Investigations into the crash revealed the aircraft was significantly overweight at takeoff—by approximately 700 pounds—and identified issues concerning the pilot’s qualifications, as well as the presence of alcohol and cocaine in the pilot’s system.
