Acre regional economic and development engagement

Governor Mailza Assis has been engaging with various sectors in Acre, Brazil, to discuss regional development and economic policy.

Initially, the Governor visited Expo Tarauacá to meet with entrepreneurs, business owners, and rural producers. During this visit, she presented government proposals and emphasized the importance of direct dialogue with local economic drivers to shape public policy.

Following these engagements, stakeholders met with the Governor in Rio Branco to address specific industry needs. The State Secretary of Agriculture highlighted investments in mechanized areas and productive chains such as cocoa and coffee. In response, rural producers requested sustained attention to infrastructure, specifically the maintenance of access roads to ensure transportability during the rainy season.

Additionally, the production team of the film ‘A Estirada’ requested a meeting to discuss the economic impact of the audiovisual sector on local services, such as hotels and transport, advocating for culture to be treated as a strategic economic policy.
