Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone development

Overview

The Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone (AOSB) is implementing various initiatives to support local manufacturers and improve regional infrastructure.

Initially, the zone focused on enhancing international competitiveness through its Foreign Trade Intelligence Center (DTİM). Operating under the AOSB Project Support Unit, the center provides data-driven guidance, including target market identification, sector and product-based reporting, and customer research for exporters. For importers, it analyzes international suppliers to secure reliable and cost-effective raw materials. Regional Manager Ersin Akpınar noted the goal is to help companies compete through “informed strategy and accurate information.”

Subsequently, the AOSB has expanded its focus to industrial energy infrastructure. The zone has implemented an integrated system using SCADA technology for 24-hour real-time monitoring and an Automatic Meter Reading System (OSOS) for electricity consumption tracking. The region’s total installed capacity has reached 324 megawatts, comprising 279 megawatts from solar power plants and 45 megawatts from cogeneration facilities. Currently, 209 facilities operate active solar energy systems, with ongoing investments aiming to increase solar capacity to 281 megawatts.

Broadening its industrial outreach, the Adana Güçbirliği Foundation has launched an ‘Investment Call’ report targeting the top 500 industrial enterprises in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry 2025 research to showcase the city’s infrastructure and incentives. Furthermore, the Adana Industrial Campus will host the ‘National Model Factory Network Development Workshop’ from September 1–4, 2026. Organized with the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Asia Productivity Organization, the event will host experts from 15 countries to discuss lean production, digital transformation, and the integration of digital and green industrial practices.
