Adidas Originals has launched a series of streetwear collaborations centered on cultural heritage and 1990s-inspired aesthetics. Initially, the brand announced a partnership with designer Willy Chavarria for a Fall 2026 collection. The line features oversized silhouettes, such as the Chavarria Track Jacket and Chavarria Chicano Sweatshirt, which utilizes red, white, and green accents inspired by the Mexican flag. The footwear component includes reworks of the Megaride franchise, specifically the Mega Willy Low and the Willy Mega Mid. Following the collection release, Adidas expanded its regional engagement through a collaboration with the Mexican boutique Lust. This partnership resulted in the ‘ORIGEN’ footwear model, marking the first instance of Adidas working with a Latin American retailer to develop a specific shoe. The design draws aesthetic inspiration from Mexican corn, utilizing a color palette based on blue and pink corn varieties. Building on this partnership, Adidas Originals released the ‘adiSignature’ collection, developed under the creative advisory of Willy Chavarria. This line revisits classic sportswear staples like the Firebird and SST tracksuits using premium materials, such as heavyweight 420g brushed-back fleece. Chavarria introduced technical modifications including one-piece hood designs, dropped shoulders, and adjusted waistband heights. The adiSignature framework is intended to serve as a long-term foundation for the brand’s future creative directions.
