Adobe has expanded its creative suite to the Android ecosystem with the release of both Photoshop and Premiere. While the Premiere mobile video editing application is available via the Google Play Store for compatible smartphones and tablets, Photoshop is arriving specifically on Samsung Galaxy tablets, such as the Tab S12 Ultra and Plus models. The Photoshop Android version features a customized interface and may be pre-installed on these devices, with initial availability exclusive to the Galaxy App Store. Both applications integrate Adobe Firefly-based generative AI tools. Premiere continues to offer professional-grade features including multi-track timelines, frame-accurate editing, and 4K export capabilities, aiming to support social media creators on mobile devices. Adobe has now released a free version of Premiere mobile for Android. Following its previous launch on iPhone, this version allows users to edit content such as vlogs, tutorials, and social media clips without requiring a Creative Cloud subscription or an Adobe account for basic use. The free tier includes a multi-track timeline for layering video, music, and text, frame-accurate editing, and direct voiceover recording. It also features AI-powered ‘Enhance Audio’ to reduce background noise and supports unlimited 4K exports.
