Security footage showed the plane striking the roof of the health unit before crashing through a wall of the daycare facility. The 28-year-old pilot was the only person injured, sustaining moderate wounds to his head and chest. He was stabilized by emergency responders and transferred to a hospital in RondonĂ³polis, where he remained in stable condition. Following the impact, fuel was reported to be leaking from the wreckage. No children or staff members were injured, as the impact occurred in a multi-use room that was not hosting students at the time, and time. Approximately 180 children, aged one to five, were inside the building, but teachers successfully evacuated children them from neighboring classrooms. Local officials noted that children in adjacent rooms were only a meter away from the impact site when the crash occurred. The aircraft was being used for crop spraying but was not carrying chemical pesticides during the accident. Due to structural damage, classes at the daycare were suspended until November 28, and services at the affected health unit were temporarily halted.
