AK Parti leadership has introduced a strategic initiative aimed at ending terrorism in Turkey through legislative and social reforms. In recent regional meetings in Karabük and Bursa, party leaders Abdullah Güler and Efkan Ala further promoted the ‘Terörsüz Türkiye’ (Terror-free Turkey) initiative and the ‘Milli Dayanışma Projesi’ (National Solidarity Project). Officials stated that the objective is to eliminate terrorist activities by the PKK and its affiliates, contingent upon the surrender of weapons and ammunition. This approach, described as the ‘Türkiye Modeli’ (Turkey Model), emphasizes resolving internal security issues through domestic will rather than external mediation. Leaders noted that these efforts are essential for maintaining Turkey’s stability as a regional actor amidst the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and the Russia-Ukraine war.
