Al-Ahsa economic and entertainment development
Overview
Development efforts in Al-Ahsa are focusing on expanding the business events and entertainment sectors to support regional economic growth and Saudi Vision 2030.
In late October 2026, the Al-Ahsa Development Authority, the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conventions, and the Al-Ahsa Chamber held a workshop to address the business events sector. Following a 4% growth in licensed events in 2025, the workshop identified 24 opportunities for development across areas such as food security, heritage, and energy. The initiative aims to improve facility readiness and local organizer capabilities through a 90-day action plan.
Simultaneously, the Governor of Al-Ahsa, Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, inspected the Seven entertainment project. Developed by Seven Saudi Entertainment Projects Company, a subsidiary of Qiddiya Investment Company, the 164,000-square-meter site will feature nine attraction zones, global brand partnerships, and retail spaces designed to enhance local quality of life and diversify the economy.
