Al Jazira has been actively recruiting players from the Turkish Süper Lig. In early August, the UAE club completed the permanent transfer of 21-year-old defensive midfielder Salih Malkoçoğlu from Trabzonspor for a guaranteed fee of 3,750,000 euros, with potential bonuses totaling 4,350,000 euros. By late August, Al Jazira entered final-stage negotiations to sign Brazilian attacker Anderson Talisca from Fenerbahçe. Fenerbahçe is reportedly seeking a transfer fee of at least 15 million euros as part of a broader effort to reduce its foreign player count. On August 22, Talisca was left out of the Fenerbahçe squad for a match against Konyaspor. While the club officially described the omission as a tactical decision to rest the player for an upcoming match against Olympique Lyon and to comply with the ‘10+4 foreign player rule’, reports indicate a pending transfer. Talisca has reportedly reached a ‘principle agreement’ with Al Jazira, and an official from the UAE club recently traveled to Istanbul to observe the player in person. Furthering its recruitment from Turkey, Al Jazira has officially confirmed the transfer of 22-year-old Nigerian midfielder Anthony Dennis from Göztepe. Dennis, a product of the Göztepe youth academy, joins the UAE Pro League side following his development in the Turkish Süper Lig.
