The Tirana Police Directorate has launched a criminal investigation into the online distribution of intimate videos involving several public figures, including composer Adrian Hila. The Cybercrime Investigation Sector is working to trace the leak, which reportedly originated from a Telegram group managed from abroad. Authorities have referred the case to the Prosecutor’s Office under charges including illegal interception of computer data and unlawful interference in private life. Adrian Hila has provided testimony admitting to installing cameras in his residence, residence and studio, though he claims they were intended for security following previous thefts. He stated he was unaware the footage would be distributed online. Investigators are currently examining whether the security system was hacked or if there was unauthorized access to the stored data. While some victims have reported severe psychological distress, singer Eli Fara, who appears in one of the recordings, has stated she was unaware she was being recorded and that the incident has caused significant emotional distress to her and her family. Fara has requested that authorities focus on identifying the individual responsible for the leak rather than filing charges against Hila for the recording itself. The investigation is currently focused on determining how the recordings were accessed, where they were stored, and whether there was unauthorized access to the camera systems or storage devices.
