The documentary ‘La superviviente’ (The Survivor), directed by Kike Maíllo, examines the life of Alicia Esteve Head, a woman from Barcelona who impersonated a 9/11 survivor. Using the pseudonym Tania Head, she claimed to have escaped the 78th floor of the South Tower and lost her ~~fiancé~~ fiancé, David Scott Suárez, in the attacks. The production uses therapy recordings and writings to reconstruct the truth, creating a “hall of mirrors” to reflect the protagonist’s method of identity construction.
