All Elite Wrestling programming and event developments

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is undergoing a creative shift aimed at injecting more passion into its programming. This transition includes the return of the Bullet Club and significant confrontations between wrestlers such as Mercedes Moné and Marina Shafir. While weekly shows and pay-per-views have seen improvements, the company faces a void in its mid-card scene due to several top-tier wrestlers being sidelined, leading to suggestions that leadership reintegrate veteran talent to bolster star power. As the company builds toward the Full Gear 2026 event, several championship matches have been confirmed or anticipated. These include defenses of the AEW World Tag Team Championships by the Young Bucks, the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships by the Brawling Birds, the AEW World Championship by Will Ospreay, and the AEW International Championship by Kazuchika Okada. Additionally, Mercedes Moné is slated to defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Marina Shafir. On the October 24, 2026, episode of AEW Collision, Jay White officially named his new alliance, which unites the Bang Bang Gang and The Dogs. Initially referred to as ‘The Last Outfit’, the group—comprising White, Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Ace Austin, David Finlay, and Clark Connors—was subsequently renamed ‘The Cut’ following negative fan feedback. White, who defeated Kyle O’Reilly in the main event, signaled his intention to target AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley. Other recent developments include FTR tying their best-of-five series against the Motor City Machine Guns at 1–1. In the women’s division, a disqualification involving the Sisters of Sin led Willow Nightingale and Wrathlander to challenge Divine Dominion and Triangle of Madness for a Women’s Blood & Guts match. Lineups for the Blood & Guts matches on November 4 in Jacksonville have been finalized.
