All Nippon Airways special flight operations

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced several specialized aviation projects. In November 2026, the airline is scheduled to operate a special charter flight from Haneda Airport to Iwo Jima on November 19. This flight is part of a memorial service project organized by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to honor war dead. Because Iwo Jima is a Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force base without commercial refueling or ground support, the aircraft must carry sufficient fuel for a round trip and be equipped with specific maritime communication gear.

Separately, ANA Holdings has announced its role as a gold partner for the GREEN X EXPO 2027, an international horticultural exhibition in Yokohama. Starting in January 2027, the airline plans to deploy up to 30 aircraft featuring special decals, including the “ANA Furusato JET” and the “ANA Future Promise Prop.” The promotion also includes themed in-flight services, such as floral motif paper cups and special crew attire.
