Support organizations for Alzheimer’s and dementia relatives in Spain are implementing various services to assist caregivers and patients. In Navarra, the association Afan provides psychological care, legal guidance, and practical strategies to help families manage the complexities of cognitive decline. In Galicia, the association AFAGA has expanded its scope through new initiatives. This includes a partnership with the TokApp Impulsa Foundation to launch socio-educational projects aimed at raising awareness among youth and combating ageism. AFAGA has also introduced the ‘Vida 6.0, escribiendo mi historia’ project, which uses physical and digital life books to document patient histories and promote cognitive stimulation and person-centered care. Expanding these efforts to the Bajo Aragón-Caspe region, the Association of Relatives of People with Alzheimer's and Other Dementias of Caspe and Region (AFEDACC) has launched a comprehensive program. This initiative targets individuals living with dementia, seniors with memory difficulties, and their caregivers. The program includes cognitive and functional stimulation workshops, memory workshops, and the provision of technical aids and counseling. AFEDACC also provides support to the general public through self-care workshops, informative talks, and awareness campaigns intended to improve community understanding of these diseases.
