Amazfit has expanded its rugged outdoor smartwatch lineup with new product releases and pricing shifts. The company introduced the T-Rex Dual Solar, a flagship device featuring a world-first dual-sided solar charging system. This technology utilizes a solar panel beneath the AMOLED display and a second panel in the glass-ceramic backplate, allowing for energy capture both while worn and when placed face-down. Under typical usage, the watch offers up to 25 days of battery life, which can extend to 34 days using the front panel or up to 51 days with three hours of daily solar charging via the rear panel. In “Outdoor Extreme Mode,” the device can last up to 180 days. The device features a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen with 3,000 nits peak brightness, a Grade 5 titanium bezel, and sapphire glass. It is built to military standards, supports temperatures as low as -30°C, and offers 10 ATM water resistance for diving up to 50 meters. It includes dual-band six-satellite positioning, offline mapping, and a built-in flashlight with red-light functionality. Following its availability on JD.com on October 8, 2026, the device is scheduled for release in Malaysia on October 23. Following these developments, the T-Rex Ultra 2 model saw a significant price reduction. The rugged smartwatch reached a historic low of approximately 449.98 to 449.99 euros on Amazon, a discount of roughly 100 euros from its retail price of 549.90 euros. The Ultra 2 features a 51mm titanium case, a 1.5-inch AMOLED display, and an 870 mAh battery. It includes dual-band GPS with preloaded color topographic maps, an integrated dual-mode flashlight with SOS capabilities, and supports Bluetooth calling and Zepp Pay. Additionally, the T-Rex 3 Pro has received 12 software updates since its September 2025 launch, introducing over 170 new features.
