The mystery thriller series ‘Yaga’, which reimagines the Slavic myth of Baba Yaga, is scheduled to premiere on October 23, 2026, on AMC+ and Crave. Based on a play by Kat Sandler, who serves as writer and showrunner, the story follows private investigator Rapp (or Napp), played by Noah Reid, as he investigates the disappearance of Henry Park, an heir to a local fishing company in the coastal town of Whittock. Henry Park is portrayed by Hudson Williams, who also plays a second role named Logan. Filmed in Victoria, British Columbia, by Blink49 Studios and Front Street Pictures, the series features Carrie-Anne Moss as a charismatic university professor, Clark Backo as a local detective named Carson, and Sheila McCarthy. The series was set to have a world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 17. AMC+ recently released a trailer for the eight-part series, which blends supernatural folk horror with coastal noir. The trailer features a cover of ‘Season of the Witch’ by Alanis Morissette. The premiere on October 23 will consist of the first two episodes. Recent updates confirm the production involves Bell Media and features an ensemble cast including Megan Follows and Katharine Isabelle.
