American Airlines has announced a series of international network expansions scheduled for 2027. A key component of this expansion is the launch of a new daily direct service between Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, set to begin on May 6, 2027. This seasonal route will utilize the Airbus A321XLR aircraft. Beyond the Nice-New York connection, the airline plans to introduce seven new routes and three new destinations. These include daily service between Charlotte and Barcelona starting May 27, 2027, and daily flights from New York-JFK to Amsterdam. Other planned services include new connections from Philadelphia to Porto, Vienna, and Reykjavik, as well as increased capacity on the New York-JFK to London-Heathrow route. In addition to the previously announced transatlantic services, the airline’s expansion plans include a new route from Chicago to Tokyo Narita.
