American Express has expanded its global lounge collection by opening its first Centurion Lounge in continental Europe at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The facility officially opened on September 17, marking the 33rd lounge in the company’s international network. The approximately 560-square-meter facility, located between Concourses E and F, features a design inspired by Amsterdam’s canals and landscapes. The interior incorporates local Dutch artistic elements, such as Delft Blue motifs and works by local artists including Mieke Jonker, Reinder Schmidt, Geesien Postema, and Thirza Schaap. The design utilizes blue, green, and earth tones to evoke local architecture, incorporating materials such as black quartzite, brass, and warm wood. Amenities include the Blue Roast Coffee Bar and a full-service bar offering seasonal regional flavors. To accommodate transit passengers and business travelers, the lounge provides various seating options, including workstations, private call booths, and group areas, alongside Wi-Fi and charging stations.
