The Buffalo Bills secured a 36-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, capitalizing on a series of quarterback injuries for Baltimore. Lamar Jackson, who was returning from a high ankle sprain, was ruled out of the game after suffering a right thumb injury on the Ravens’ first offensive play. The injury occurred when Jackson’s hand made contact with Bills pass rusher Greg Rousseau during a pass attempt. Jackson is scheduled to undergo surgery for the thumb injury and has been placed on injured reserve. This development has raised concerns that he could miss the remainder of the season. Ravens head coach Jesse Minter confirmed the surgery requirement. Following Jackson’s exit, backup quarterback Tyler Huntley entered the game but was forced to leave in the second quarter with a toe injury. This left the Ravens to rely on undrafted rookie third-string quarterback Joe Fagnano for the remainder of the contest. Fagnano made his NFL debut in an emergency capacity, completing 10 of 21 passes for 91 ~~yards.~~ yards and one interception. Josh Allen led the Bills with 289 passing yards and two touchdowns. His 11-yard scoring pass to DJ Moore helped him reach a career-high 259 career touchdown passes, setting a new franchise record. James Cook III also contributed a rushing touchdown. Buffalo moves to a 6-1 record, while Baltimore falls to 4-4, leaving the Ravens in last place in the AFC ~~North.~~ North as they prepare for an upcoming matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
