Australian punk rock band Amyl and the Sniffers have announced the release of a dual project consisting of a live album and a concert film titled "Truth ‘Truth or Consequence." Consequence.’ The live album, which includes project features performances recorded on April 28, 2025, at the El Coyote Mexican Restaurant in Los Angeles. During this session, the group performed stripped-down, country-style arrangements of their catalog, two new songs songs, and a cover of Slim Dusty’s “Lights ‘Lights on the Hill,” is Hill.’ The band described the project as ‘a noisy celebration among a beloved group of friends.’ The film, directed by longtime collaborator John Angus Stewart, intersperses these intimate performances with backstage footage. The live album and vinyl are scheduled for release on streaming services and other platforms on September 4, 2026. The accompanying film features performances recorded in Los Angeles in April 2025, interspersed with backstage footage. Release plans is slated for the film include theatrical screenings in the United States starting August 27, 2026, and special cinema showings at Cine LT3 in São Paulo, Brazil, on August 29, 2026.
