Angelina Jolie has detailed plans to transition to a more nomadic lifestyle, moving away from a permanent residence in Los Angeles. This shift follows her youngest children, twins Knox and Vivienne, reaching adulthood, which has effectively ended the residency requirements previously tied to her custody arrangements with ex-husband Brad Pitt. In a recent interview with L’Officiel USA, Jolie expressed a desire to spend significantly more time outside the United States to focus on international creative and humanitarian endeavors. While she intends to maintain a family home base for her six children to gather, she is moving away from a single permanent residence, a transition marked by the recent listing of her Los Angeles estate for approximately $30 million. Professionally, Jolie is focusing on expanding her fashion collective, Atelier Jolie, with ambitions to take the brand global to locations such as Brazil. She also intends to increase her hands-on involvement with her foundation in Cambodia. Her recent activities reflect this global engagement, including trips to Ukraine to observe the ongoing conflict. Regarding her family, Jolie continues to support her children’s individual pursuits. However, the family dynamic continues to be marked by a rift with Brad Pitt. In September 2026, Maddox Chivan Jolie officially changed his legal name to remove his father’s surname, following a petition granted by a Los Angeles judge with “no objections.” This was followed on September 28, 2026, by Zahara Marley Jolie, who also legally dropped the Pitt surname after a judge noted “there being no objections, the petition for change of name is granted.” This follows a similar legal name change by his sister, Shiloh, in 2024. Reports indicate that Pax is currently the only sibling still using the Jolie-Pitt surname. Recent reports suggest Vivienne has also filed a petition for a similar name change.
