Japanese companies are expanding the market for anime-themed smartphone accessories through various collaborations. In late August 2026, GAACAL introduced a MagSafe-compatible ‘PaleCase’ collection based on ‘Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card’, featuring interchangeable design plates. This collection offers 34 designs representing 17 characters from Karasuno High School and Nekoma High School, compatible with over 170 device models including iPhone, Xperia, Pixel, and Galaxy series. The products feature two styles: character illustrations and minimalist designs using jersey numbers, school icons, and names. Like previous releases, these slim protection cases use 100% post-consumer recycled resin and an on-demand printing system to minimize inventory.
