Bloober Team and co-development studio Broken Mirror Games have announced Onyx: The Dark Grip, a 2D supernatural horror adventure scheduled for a 2027 release. Revealed during a Nintendo Direct, the title was previously known by the code name Project M. The game is designed as an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2, specifically intended for handheld mode. It will utilize the console’s touchscreen for central gameplay mechanics, such as interacting with objects and investigating character thoughts, which the protagonist perceives as supernatural interventions. The narrative follows a character named Holden as they navigate a shifting reality to uncover the origin of mysterious voices. In October 2026, Broken Mirror Games provided further details regarding the game’s musical composition. CEO Piotr Babieno and composer Jan Borysewicz revealed that the soundtrack development involved a collaboration with the FILMharmonic Orchestra in Prague. In addition to touchscreen mechanics, the title is expected to utilize motion controls and microphone input. Separately, a biographical drama directed by Kristoffer Rus detailing the life and career of composer Jan Borysewicz is scheduled for global release on Netflix on October 7th.
