Actor Anupam Kher began a North American tour for his new Hindi musical comedy-drama, ‘Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane’. The tour started with a sold-out performance in Houston, Texas, followed by shows in Austin and Dallas. The play, written and directed by Gajendra Ahire, focuses on themes of loneliness and companionship. Following the tour's progress, the State of Ohio issued a special proclamation honoring Kher’s four-decade cinematic career and his live stage performance in Columbus. Kher expressed gratitude to Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jim Tressel for the recognition. The tour reached a milestone in Toronto, marking the 25th show of the production. Starring Kher alongside Swaroop Sampat, Kher described the tour as a “great success” and noted the unique emotional connection of live theater, which allows for a shared “heartbeat” between the performer and the audience. The tour is scheduled to continue through October 11, with upcoming stops in Detroit, Raleigh, New Jersey, New York, and Boston.
