The city of Aparecida de Goiânia continues extensive infrastructure improvements, focusing on road resurfacing, public lighting modernization, and new connectivity projects. Under the ‘Pra Frente Aparecida’ program, the municipal administration is revitalizing asphalt across 167 neighborhoods, covering more than 350 kilometers. Recent efforts include sectors such as Santa Luzia, Parque São Jorge, and Jardim Olímpico, with a R$ 100 million investment in partnership with the Government of Goiás supporting new asphalt in Buriti Sereno. Parallel to roadworks, Mayor Leandro Vilela has authorized 11 new public lighting projects to modernize 100% of the city’s lighting with high-efficiency LED lamps, a modernization effort that has already updated over 64,000 lighting points. In a recent milestone for urban mobility, the city completed the Colinas de Homero Bridge over the Santo Antônio stream. The R$ 4 million project, co-funded by the municipality and the Government of Goiás, connects the Colinas de Homero and Veiga Jardim III neighborhoods, reducing travel time between these areas from 30 minutes to 5 minutes. As of late September 2026, the ‘Pra Frente Aparecida’ program is advancing through paving, drainage, and earthmoving works in 15 neighborhoods, including Vila ~~Romana and~~ Romana, Jardim ~~Cristal.~~ Cristal, and Buriti Sereno. Mayor Leandro Vilela noted that these works, conducted in partnership with the Government of Goiás, utilize funds from a BRICS Bank loan. The initiative represents a total investment of R$ 301.1 million and aims to recover 353 kilometers of streets and avenues. ~~Current activities include installing rainwater galleries, curbs,~~ Mayor Vilela recently announced that the region has received R$ 120 million in infrastructure and ~~applying asphalt to improve~~ mobility investments over the last 20 months. These projects include the construction of drainage networks and ~~mitigate rainy season issues. Looking toward future planning,~~ rainwater galleries on Avenida das Nações, as well as a trench on the ~~municipality is discussing its 2027 Annual Budget Law (LOA), with projected revenues~~ same avenue and ~~expenditures reaching approximately R$ 3.6 billion.~~ new road axes.
