The All Progressives Congress (APC) is focused on strengthening its organizational structures ahead of upcoming elections. Analysts have noted that the party possesses the strongest political machinery among Nigeria’s major parties, particularly regarding the presidential campaign council assembled by President Bola Tinubu. Despite this perceived strength, the party faces potential challenges from internal contradictions and voter dissatisfaction in northern regions caused by economic hardship and insecurity. To counter these issues and prepare for gubernatorial contests, the APC has initiated specific expansions, such as appointing leadership to bolster grassroots influence in Adamawa and inaugurating large campaign and advisory councils in Gombe. In Adamawa State, political mobilization is accelerating in anticipation of the 2027 general elections. The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, founded by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), has launched activities in the state, donating 35 vehicles to facilitate community outreach. During a launch in Yola, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri declared that ‘Adamawa is Asiwaju state,’ signaling support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid. To further reinforce its presence, the APC in Adamawa has appointed Mohammed Salihu (Abba Girei) as Assistant Director for Adamawa Central. Additionally, the APC governorship candidate, Ahmed Aminu, has expressed support for the President’s economic reforms and the Governor’s development initiatives.
