Respawn Entertainment announced a crossover event for Apex Legends featuring Godzilla, timed with the release of the film Godzilla Minus Zero. An initial teaser featured a glowing blue logo and a roar to hint at the collaboration. Following a subsequent trailer, Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment detailed the event, which is scheduled to begin on November 10, 2026. The collaboration includes significant changes to the Storm Point map, depicting a landscape devastated by Godzilla with destroyed buildings and scorched trees. Gameplay elements include a customized Devotion weapon that can track hit enemies and a mythic melee weapon called the Backspike, which is designed to resemble a Godzilla dorsal fin. The event also introduces ten new Legend skins inspired by the franchise, such as Bloodhound as Godzilla 2026 and Pathfinder as Mechagodzilla 1974. New details regarding the “Apex Legends | Godzilla” event confirm it will launch across all major gaming platforms. A new game mode titled “Wildcard: Godzilla Attack” will be featured on the Storm Point map. In this mode, players must reach impact zones before Godzilla uses his atomic heat ray to secure a customized Devotion weapon equipped with a tracking beam attack. Additional cosmetic items include a new universal mythic melee weapon called the “Dorsal Dagger,” crafted from a Godzilla dorsal fin. The collaboration will also feature an event pass containing themed rewards such as badges, weapon skins, and trackers. Legend skins have been expanded to include Valkyrie as “Mothra 2003.” Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have confirmed this limited-time collaboration is in partnership with Toho Co. The event features a special mode on the Storm Point map where players navigate a landscape of destruction caused by the kaiju. The custom Devotion weapon with a heat ray attack will be found in care packages.
