Apple Hide My Email domain change reversal

Apple has reversed its decision to change the email domain for its iCloud+ Hide My Email feature. The company had previously planned to move these unique email addresses to a @private.icloud.com domain.

By maintaining the @icloud.com domain, these aliases remain indistinguishable from standard Apple email addresses, preserving the tool’s privacy utility.

While the Hide My Email domain remains unchanged, Apple is still proceeding with a domain transition for its ‘Sign in with Apple’ service. Later this year, new relay addresses for that service will move from @privaterelay.appleid.com to @private.icloud.com, though existing addresses will continue to function.
