Apple has initiated a restructuring of its subscription model across more than 100 markets, primarily targeting emerging and developing regions in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. This strategy involves bundling Apple TV and Apple Arcade into iCloud+ plans at no additional cost for all paid tiers, including the 50GB entry-level plan. In these markets, Apple TV and Apple Arcade may no longer be available as standalone subscriptions, as existing individual users are transitioned into the iCloud+ bundle. The expanded service also includes Apple Music Select, which provides ad-free, curated music stations. This rollout excludes the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and most of Europe. Recent developments highlight specific expansions in Kenya, Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco, and ~~Turkey.~~ Sri Lanka. In ~~Kenya,~~ Kenya and Morocco, the package includes Apple TV original ~~content, such as ‘Ted Lasso’ and ‘Severance’,~~ content and over 200 games via Apple ~~Arcade.~~ Arcade, alongside Apple Music Select’s ad-free, regionally relevant radio stations. In Pakistan, the rollout began on September 16, offering free access to Apple TV premium content while maintaining existing storage pricing, such as Rs200 for the 50GB plan. These benefits can be shared with up to five family members through Family Sharing. In Turkey, Apple TV has officially launched, allowing iCloud+ subscribers with plans of 50GB or more to access premium original series and movies without additional charges. This launch provides a seamless experience for users in the region, removing the previous need for VPNs to access regional content.
