In late September 2026, various agricultural organizations in Argentina conducted annual assemblies to address regional management and policy concerns. In Mendoza, ACOVI reviewed its institutional representation and economic impact, focusing on energy management, water irrigation, and financial assistance for productive investment. Simultaneously, the Sociedad Rural de Reconquista renewed its leadership, with President José Ignacio Spontón highlighting needs for rural security, irrigation canal maintenance, and road upkeep. By early October, the focus shifted to national-level advocacy during the Federación Agraria Argentina (FAA) 112th Annual Ordinary Congress in Rosario. FAA President Andrea Sarnari called for comprehensive tax reform, specifically targeting export retentions which she described as “regressive and distortive.” The FAA also voiced formal opposition to the UPOV-91 seed law protocol, advocating for a framework that protects producer rights. The organization's agenda remains centered on rural infrastructure, connectivity, and legislative predictability for small and medium-sized producers. During the same congress, the FAA elected its new national leadership. Representatives from the Entre Ríos District III secured several key positions within the national decision-making body. Sebastián Klug was re-elected as a titular director and ratified as the Secretary of Finance, while Lucero Kühn assumed the role of national director for the Agrarian Youth. Adolfo De Zan will continue as a substitute director, and Luciano Challio was ratified as the District Vice Director.
