In the Clase 3 category of Argentine motorsport, Iván Eberle and Isidro Fernández achieved a sweep at the Centenario Autodrome during the Turismo Pista del Valle, securing pole position and leading every lap. This performance extended Eberle’s season lead over Alejandro López. During the ninth round of the 2026 Turismo Nacional championship at the Río Cuarto Autodrome, Lucas Vicino secured his first career pole position in the Clase 3 division driving a Toyota Corolla. Vicino recorded a time of 1m10s864, narrowly beating Mauricio Lambiris by 0.349 seconds, while José Manuel Urcera qualified third in a Honda All New Civic. In the Misionero de Pista event at the Eldorado Autodrome, Alejandro Tarnowski took the pole in Clase 3, and Javier Socuyk won the category’s first final. At the Río Cuarto Autodrome, Julián Santero secured a victory in the TN APAT Clase 3 final by overtaking Lucas Vicino on the final corner of the last lap. The maneuver occurred after Vicino, who had led much of the race, suffered a sudden engine failure. Despite the mechanical issue, Vicino managed to finish second, while Leonel Pernía took third. The race also saw the retirement of championship leader Agustín Canapino due to car problems, allowing Facundo Chapur to reduce the gap in the standings. In the TN APAT championship, Juan Cruz Benvenuti also faced mechanical difficulties, including clutch and tire issues, which hindered his performance at the venue.
