The nationwide anti-narcotics campaign launched in May has intensified across multiple provinces. May seizures included a 1.84 t cocaine haul in Goya, a 470 kg haul in Tucumán and six-tonne coca-leaf caches in Catamarca. June raids seized firearms, war-grade ammunition and marijuana in Concordia, La Banda, Tucumán and Villa Mercedes, and uncovered a “narco kiosk” in Goya. July added a 70-kg cocaine seizure in Tartagal, a synthetic-drug conviction, the dismissal of a Corrientes officer, and the dismantling of a Bolivia-linked cross-border network; Córdoba passed an anti-bunker law and Santa Fe defended an AI-driven raid. By early August, authorities intercepted 16 kg of cocaine at the Salto Grande bridge in Concordia and a 446 kg load in a tanker truck near the Chaco-Santiago del Estero border. On August 10, the Prefectura Naval dismantled a transnational criminal organization after seizing nearly 500 kilograms of cocaine. In mid-August, operations continued with the seizure of 779 kg of coca leaves in Tucumán and the use of drones to seize hallucinogenic mushrooms in Buenos Aires and Escobar. In Chubut, the “Berlín” operation involved over 40 raids in Trelew, Rawson, Playa Unión, and Puerto Madryn, resulting in 17 arrests and the seizure of cocaine and marijuana. Recent developments include the arrest of Entre Ríos police commissioner Daniel Rosatelli on August 19 in connection with a 1,345 kg marijuana seizure. In early September, authorities dismantled trafficking operations in the Valle de Uco and Rio Negro regions. In Tunuyán, a long-term investigation led to the arrest of three siblings and several women, with police seizing cocaine, marijuana, and cash. In the Alto Valle region, ‘Operativo Audi’ uncovered approximately 5.5 kg of cocaine hidden in a secret compartment of a vehicle; this brings the total cocaine seized during that specific investigation to over 7.1 kg.
