Argentine professional football match results

Overview

During the 2026 Torneo Clausura, several matches in the Argentine professional league resulted in draws.

In a Zona A fixture at the José Amalfitani stadium, Vélez Sarsfield and Platense played to a 2-2 draw. Ronaldo Martínez scored twice for Vélez Sarsfield, while Bautista Merlini and Franco Zapiola provided the goals for Platense. The match included a missed penalty by Platense’s Agustín Lagos following a VAR review.

In a separate postponed match from the eleventh round, Sarmiento and River Plate ended in a 1-1 draw. Julián Contrera scored for Sarmiento in the 14th minute, but Gonzalo Montiel secured an equalizer for River Plate in the 71st minute. A previous goal by Montiel had been disallowed by VAR during the match.

As the tournament progresses to the 13th round, Sarmiento is scheduled to host Barracas Central at the Eva Perón Stadium. Due to a prior sanction, the match will be played behind closed doors. Sarmiento, currently in sixth place, is looking to maintain its position in the upper tier of Zone B, while Barracas Central seeks a third consecutive victory. Additionally, Newell's Old Boys will face Central Córdoba in a match described as crucial for Newell's hopes of advancing to the next round.
