Aris basketball team performance and roster updates

Overview

Aris secured a 101-91 victory over Panathinaikos at Alexandrio, led by 21 points from American guard Matt Morgan. This win brought the team to a 4-1 record in the Stoiximan GBL.

Following the win, the team faced roster changes ahead of their match against Doxa Lefkada. While Vasilis Toliopoulos returned to training after recovering from a hamstring injury, Matt Morgan was sidelined due to an injury sustained during a game against Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem. The team was awaiting MRI results to determine the extent of Morgan's injury.

Aris subsequently achieved its fifth consecutive victory in the Greek Basketball League with an 88-77 away win against Doxa Lefkada. Nenad Dimitrijevic led the scoring with 25 points, including a perfect 6-for-6 from the three-point line. Other contributors included Robinson-Earl with 17 points, Lindell with 14 points, and Mitrou-Long with 12 points. This victory improved the team's season record to 5-1.

Following the match, coach Vassilis Spanoulis noted that while the team is performing well, there is still room for improvement regarding rebounding and offensive automation. He also defended the roles of Kostas Antetokounmpo and Kem Birch, stating they serve their tactical purposes despite external criticism.
