Arraiá festivals in Brazil

In late July 2026 Brazilian municipalities intensified promotion of local Arraiá celebrations. On 24 July, Apucarana (Paraná) announced the family‑focused "Arraiá das Famílias" to be held at Praça do Clube 28, organized by the Secretaria Municipal da Mulher e Assuntos da Família. Mayor Rodolfo Mota said the event would strengthen family bonds, and the programme includes live music, regional food and a dedicated children’s area with inflatables, a trampoline and a ball pit.

A few days later, Mairiporã (São Paulo) confirmed the fifth edition of its Arraiá da Vila for 1‑2 August, featuring ballet, theater, inclusive dance, multiple quadrilha groups and a food market that will support the Fundo Social de Solidariedade. In Parintins (Amazonas), the IV Arraiá of CAPS AD was held on 31 July, offering free entry, traditional Boi Mirim performances, forró music and horse‑riding activities aimed at cultural integration.

The Apucarana festival was actually carried out on 2‑3 August, extended by a day after strong public demand. It attracted large crowds, sold‑out food and craft stalls, and was praised by the mayor for boosting the town’s solidarity economy. Similar civic initiatives, such as Arapongas’s September civic parade, illustrate a broader municipal effort to celebrate regional culture and foster social cohesion across Brazil.
