In mid-August, the vehicle of Vukašin Vujičić, a public prosecutor in Valjevo, was targeted in an arson attack. Vujičić suggested the incident might be connected to his handling of sensitive cases involving street conflicts. The attack prompted the prosecutor to move his family out of the city for safety. On September 5, a similar incident occurred in Slavonski Brod, Croatia, where a vehicle parked in front of a residence Vukovarska Street was destroyed by fire. While unofficial reports suggest the car belongs to a deputy county state attorney, authorities have not officially confirmed if are investigating whether the fire was an act of arson or a technical malfunction. Recent developments in Valjevo indicate that a woman has been arrested for her alleged role in the arson attack against the public prosecutor’s vehicle.
