Italy is hosting continues to host a wide range of art and cultural exhibitions across several cities. Major displays include a popular Caravaggio exhibition in Potenza, an exploration of nature and art in Mantua, and a showcase of Leonardo da Vinci’s engineering models in Bologna. Other Recent additions to the cultural events calendar include contemporary hyperrealistic ceramic works in Milan, landscape painting in by Bertozzi & Casoni at Milan’s Museo Bagatti Valsecchi, exploring memory and materiality. Other regional highlights include Vincenzo Frattini’s exhibition in Padova and Valerio Zezur winning the Badoer Giacomo Matteotti Prize in Fratta Polesine. Newer exhibitions are increasingly addressing social and environmental themes. In Monfalcone, “Il tallone di Achille” examines the relationship between humanity and the environment using AI, painting, and sculpture. In Turin, the “Divieto di oppressione” exhibition displays materials from recent social and environmental mobilizations. Other diverse displays include Concetta Modica’s ‘Liturgie’ in Milan, Matteo Fronduti’s mural-inspired works in Assisi, and the ‘Voci’ festival in Novara, which utilizes photography and drawings to provide perspectives on international stories such as Gaza and Syria. Additionally, Bergamo is marking European Heritage Days with exhibitions on historical seals at Casa Suardi and the State Archives.
