Artificial intelligence AI and digital technology events in Lec Lecce

Various scientific and professional events focused on artificial intelligence and digital technology are scheduled to take place in Lecce, Italy, during the latter half of 2026. The 22nd edition of the AVSS (Advanced Visual and Signal-Based Systems) international scientific conference conference, organized by CNR-ISASI, is set scheduled for late August and early September, focusing on 31 to September 3, 2026. Under the theme ‘Expanding Horizons in Security, Safety, and Societal Monitoring’ through computer vision Monitoring’, the event will utilize a hybrid format. Specialized workshops include ISSA2026, focusing on sensor-assisted agriculture; AI4Nature, covering biodiversity and environmental monitoring; and MDB2026, which examines the ethical implications of video analysis. Other research areas include biometrics, forensic analysis, the Internet of Things, and water resource management. Following this, these events, the second edition of the Digeat Festival, titled “I, Human. Days of a past future,” will be held in November in Lecce and Gallipoli to explore the relationship between humans and technology, including data protection and AI regulatory frameworks.
