In July and August 2026, major anime and comic exhibitions were held in Taipei and Dongguan. The 25th Comic Expo in Taipei featured over 1,200 booths and attracted approximately 635,000 visitors. Simultaneously, the 16th China International Animation Expo in Dongguan expanded its coverage to 33,100 square meters, showcasing over 2,200 IPs from 98 international companies and establishing a new “trend-toy product tech-trade research base.” During August 2026, Taiwan also hosted the Taiwan Creative Expo in Taipei. Organized by the Ministry of Culture under the theme ‘Bit Zero’, the event examined human creativity in the age of artificial intelligence. The expo consisted of a cultural curation exhibition at the former Air Force General Headquarters site and a creative brand and IP licensing exhibition at the Nangang Exhibition Center, which included more than 600 brands from Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore.
