Carolina Panthers defeat Atlanta Falcons 34-3

The Carolina Panthers secured their first victory of the 2026 season with a dominant 34-3 win over the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Following their Week 1 loss to Chicago, the Panthers' defense improved significantly, holding Atlanta to minimal yardage and forcing five turnovers. Quarterback Bryce Young led the offense with 287 passing yards and three touchdowns. Notable offensive contributors included tight end Darren Waller, who caught two touchdown passes, and Tetairoa McMillan, who recorded 101 receiving yards. On defense, linebacker Devin Lloyd recorded a 16-yard interception return for a touchdown.

The Falcons struggled offensively under veteran quarterback Cooper Rush, who was forced into a starting role due to injuries to Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa.
