Antonio Hernández Pacheco, the former Secretary of Public Security for Atlixco, Puebla, was arrested by the State Attorney General's Office following an investigation into a robbery involving a bank customer in central Atlixco. The arrest took place on the Vía Atlixcáyotl (also referred to as the Siglo XXI highway). Hernández Pacheco faces charges of bribery, abuse of authority, and failure to fulfill legal duties. State security officials have noted that his detention is part of a wider review of municipal security leaders in the region to ensure compliance with control and trust standards.
