The New Zealand Dollar (NZD) has experienced significant volatility and downward pressure against major currencies. Initially, the NZD/USD pair showed signs of consolidation, fluctuating between moving averages as it established technical support and resistance levels. This downward trend intensified as the NZD weakened against the Australian Dollar (AUD). While the Reserve Bank of New Zealand raised its Official Cash Rate to 2.75%, market repricing occurred because projections for future hikes were lower than anticipated.
