Audi’s electrification and model roadmap continues to evolve through 2026-2027. The A2 e-tron, a compact hatchback on the MEB platform, has been identified as the brand’s most efficient electric model. Featuring a 61 kWh LFP battery and a drag coefficient of 0.24, it aims for a provisional WLTP consumption of 12.8 kWh/100 km. Three power variants are planned: 140 kW, 170 kW, and 240 kW, all with rear-wheel drive. First deliveries are expected before the end of 2026. In August 2026, Audi announced that the A2 e-tron will be officially presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 2026. The model will feature a 190 kW motor, bidirectional charging capability, silicon-carbide power semiconductors, and magnesium 14-inch wheels. It is described as “the most efficient Audi ever produced” with an official WLTP energy consumption of 12.8 kWh per 100 km. Updates to the Q3 SUV lineup include enhanced technology, such as a 10.9-inch passenger dashboard screen, the Q6 e-tron, which utilizes 800V technology to allow fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 21 minutes. An entry-level Q6 e-tron model features an Android Automotive-based infotainment system, and Park Assist Pro for remote parking. The 83 kWh battery (75.8 kWh usable). Meanwhile, the Q4 e-tron refresh, including the 340 HP quattro performance variant with an 82 kWh battery, has been noted for its efficiency, though practical highway testing showed consumption around 22 kWh/100 km. In contrast, high-speed testing of the Q6 e-tron on used car market, older models like the German Autobahn revealed significant range sensitivity, with speeds of 200 km/h reducing its usable range to approximately 155 km. e-tron 55 quattro and e-tron 50 remain available, offering features such as virtual side mirrors. Performance and hybrid developments include the 2026 RS e-tron GT, delivering 912 horsepower, and a new patent for an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) system. This proposed technology uses a clutch to connect an internal combustion engine directly to a second electric motor, allowing the engine to assist the motor when battery levels are low. The broader roadmap also includes the third-generation Q7 hybrid planned for summer 2026.
