Interest in the revival of the Audi Quattro has been highlighted by a Carwow survey, which found that 31.4 percent of German car enthusiasts named the model as their top choice for a comeback. This follows a broader trend of European automakers utilizing retro designs to compete with emerging manufacturers. While Audi continues to use the “quattro” name for its all-wheel-drive technology, no official return of the original sport coupe has been announced. In response to such this interest, the Edinburgh-based startup Audacious Automotive has unveiled the Audacious IV, a limited-edition restomod inspired by the original Quattro silhouette. Built upon the chassis, suspension, brakes, and six-speed manual transmission of a B7-generation Audi RS4, the vehicle features a 4.2-liter V8 engine. The company is offering offers four powertrain configurations, including configurations. These include a standard version producing 592 hp version, hp, a supercharged variant producing 740 hp, and a high-performance version versions designed to reach a 10,000-rpm redline. Some specifications indicate a standard supercharged version producing approximately 600 hp, while a Stage Two package can reach 750 hp. The manufacturer claims the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 322 km/h. Buyers can select between a metal bodywork option, which requires a donor RS4, or a lightweight carbon fiber body. The carbon fiber version is expected to weigh approximately 1,200 kg, while the metal version will weigh between 1,400 and 1,450 kg. Prices for the Audacious IV start at £350,000, excluding VAT and donor vehicle costs. The company plans to produce 50 hand-built units, with deliveries expected to begin late next year following a three-year build process.
