Austin Peay State University has announced several updates regarding its athletic programs. In football, Athletics Director Jordan Harmon confirmed the Governors will face the Tennessee Volunteers in the season opener on August 31, 2031, at Neyland Stadium. Additionally, head basketball coach Corey Gipson unveiled the highest-rated recruiting class in the department’s history, featuring 10 newcomers including eight freshmen and two veteran transfers. In softball, head coach Kassie Stanfill announced a five-game fall schedule for 2026, concluding with the annual Red & Black World Series in late October.
